Baratza has upgraded the great features of the Maestro Plus espresso grinder to create a grinder that is affordable and durable for the home environment and works with any style of coffee, from espresso to manual brewing. This brand new grinder is the Encore. It looks just like the Maestro Plus but with a much improved burr that will allow a greater degree of fineness as well the new 2nd generation Gearbox (GB 2.0).

The Virtuoso is built with conical burrs to yield the consistent, fine grind critical for a perfect espresso extraction and is easily adjustable for any style of coffee. Special gear reduction for slow rotation insures extremely low static and minimized heat in the beans, thereby preserving the flavor.

Based on the most popular grinder from Baratza, the Preciso adds an extra amount of precision and control to the already great basic features of the original Virtuoso. It retains the Virtuoso's 40 grind adjustment steps, but it also has a second micro adjustment lever that further divides each of the 40 steps into 11 distinct settings. With smaller steps, you can have more control over your espresso grind, enabling you to pull that perfect shot.

It is capable of the entire range of grinds, from the finest Turkish and espresso, to the coarsest French press. Its sturdy die-cast housing is finished in stainless steel. The motor used in the Rocky is the same one Rancilio uses in their commercial grinder, the MD40. It has a large doser for convenient inspection and cleaning. Instead of being time-based, the Vario-W is a fully integrated weight-based grinder, using real-time grinding with a built-in electronic scale. You simply select the set weight you want and the Vario-W does the rest, weighing the ground coffee to within +/- 0.2 g while grinding, and stopping automatically.
