When a customer would call us and ask, "What machine would you recommend that will last 20 years or more, with commercial build quality, and will still look good in our kitchen?"  The Cimbali Junior DT1 was the machine we would recommend hands down. The Junior DT1 has a beautiful stainless outer shell that looks great on black marble, blends in with other stainless steel appliances, and fits under standard cabinet heights of 17 3/4". The Junior DT1 has a rotary pump, is very quiet, has programmable volumetric dosing, must be plumbed in, runs on a 15 amp 110 volt circuit, and has the ability to direct drain into the drip tray or not.

As great as the Junior DT1 was it still had a couple of issues that needed addressing.

#1The Steam Tip. The stock steam tip on the Junior DT1 had three small holes on the outer perimeter and a large hole in the middle, fine for commercial use but too fast for home users.  
#2 Boiler Gauge Only. You knew what your boiler pressure was but you needed a portafilter with a gauge attached to adjust your pump pressure.
#3 No Pre-infusion!

So we went to Cimbali and asked what it would take to custom make the Junior DT1 with those three things addressed. It was simple order, a large enough quantity and anything is possible.

Say "Hello" to the NEW Cimbali Junior Casa DT1 with Passive Pre-infusion, Dual gauges, and a new three hole steam tip with smaller holes which makes it simple to produce great micro foam even when doing small quantities of milk.

It is very simple to activate pre-infusion. Hold any button on the display for 2 seconds and it goes into pre-infusion mode when you make that drink. Press and release any button and it makes the shot without pre-infusion.

We ship your machine strapped to a small pallet and send it via common carrier. This form of shipping is MUCH more expensive for us than UPS or FedEx, but we feel it is not only worth it but necessary. We have tried both UPS and FedEx and it simply isn't worth it, too many machines got damaged. The last thing you want is to place an order for a beautiful machine like this only to have it arrive damaged.
