Cafelat Tamping Stand Out of Stock - Our next shipment of Cafelat Products has been delayed and is expected to arrive in March 2012. We apologize for the amount of items that are currently out of stock and will update the website as new information is available. Since the original bumper stand was launched in 2006, tamping stands have become more and more popular. Once they were seen as quirky training tools to help promote level tamping with single spouts or bottomless portafilters, but now they are gaining acceptance in full-time use in cafes and bars around the world. The Cafelat tamping stand builds upon the original bumper stand and organizes it into a single compact unit. The frame inside is stainless steel and then coated with a food grade rubber. You may tamp from the front with a regular single or double portafilter or use a bottomless portafilter by turning it around. The non-slip base provides a very stable tamping platform. [more]

Cafelat Drop 58 & 53 mm Tampers Shaped like a chocolaty sweet blob of espresso oozing from the portafilter spouts, the Drop tamper is elegant and fits the hand very well. Cafelat Pillar 58 & 53 mm Tampers New with this shipment - The 58 mm Black Pillar now has a flat base and can be used with the VST Strada Baskets. The 58 mm Pillar Convex Tamper is available in Red, Brown & Orange, and the 53mm is available in Black. They all come with a Free Tamper Holder! The Pillar tamper was one of Cafelat's first designs in the project. It not only looks funky but has a really great feel in the hand. Espro 58 or 53 mm Automatic Tamper This tamper was designed to take one more variable out of making great espresso, consistent tamp pressure. The Espro Automatic Tamper is a piston action tamper that lets you know when you exert 30 lbs. of pressure. The handle depresses a bit and makes a subtle clicking sound when 30 lbs. of pressure has been applied. The base is a convex bottom and made of stainless steel, the handle is anodized metal. [more]
