NEW Alex Duetto II by Izzo

In the past few years a few double boilers machines have come to market. Yet people continued to ask when will a dual boiler, TOTALLY PID controlled machine, with an E61 group be introduced? Well that time has come say hello to the NEW Alex Duetto II by Izzo. So what is different about the NEW Duetto II? All functions are now controlled by the PID.

The following is a list of functions controlled by the PID:

• Controls the temperature in the group boiler AND the steam boiler. (No Pressure stat)
  
• Easily changes the machine’s operational mode from 15 amps to 20 amps.
  
• Temperature display easily changed from Fahrenheit to Celsius.
  
• Can program the offset settings for both boilers.
  
• Default values for P, I, and D can be changed (please consult with our Service Department prior to changing).
  
• Either boiler can be turned off. (save energy and turn the steam boiler off if you only want espresso)
  
• Note: You can also turn the steam boiler on and off with a switch on the side of the machine.

For those of you who are uncertain if you have a 15 amp or 20 amp receptacle please look at the image below the machine will come with a 20amp plug and if used in 15amp mode you will need the converter cord. With that being said you have to keep in mind that in the UK everything runs on 230 volt electricity unlike here in the US. In addition, after we received the first 110 volt machines for our inspection and testing, we requested that they implement a few minor design changes prior to production assembly of machines for our US market. The first you will probably notice is that we are having Izzo insulate the steam boiler and add additional vents both top and bottom to promote cooling inside the machine. This will help to prolong the life of the electronic components inside the machine.
