This generic filter housing is 10" - The dimensions needed are: 7" Width Clearance  x  14" Height Clearance.  You are not locked into any proprietary replacement filters when using this generic housing. There are numerous manufacturers who make all kinds of filters that fit this housing. Housing comes with 1/4" or 3/8" John Guest fittings pre-installed for easy installation, mounting bracket, and wrench.
