Superb prosumer espresso machine at a great price February 12, 2015
Reviewer: Stanley Fried from Albuquerque, NM United States
I tend to be rather wordy. Please see my review at:

This is an excellent espresso machine from a company that knows its business and is personable.

UPDATE: I've had the Carisma for well over a year now with no issues.  Setting the boiler pressure/temp on the digital readout easily allows for simple adjustments when needed.  The pump is loud but then it's a vibrating pump.  One quirk is that when running water through to brew head to cool it, after running about 1.5 ounces of water through it the water stops for a few seconds then resumes.  Now that I know this is the case, I always run a cooling cycle when the Carisma has not been used for awhile but left on.  I am very satisfied with my Carisma.  It is excellent value for a well made and well designed espresso machine.

First Prosumer Machine December 8, 2014

I've had the Carisma for a few months now and have been overall very happy with it. It's my first prosumer machine and first heat exchanger so there were a few caveats that took a little getting used.

Super-happy with my machine and Chris Coffee December 6, 2014
Reviewer: MC from VT
Spent 2 years going back and forth on wanting an Espresso Machine but having a hard time justifying the cost.  In that time, I spoke with a number of the bigger online sources before calling Chris Coffee.  I felt like Chris Coffee, and Mackenzie, in particular, listened more deeply and guided me to buy products (this Espresso Machine with a Compak Grinder) that suit my needs perfectly.  I LOVE the drinks I make and I'm confident that I won't suffer from a need to upgrade any time soon.
Highly, highly, highly recommend Chris' Coffee for a well-informed purchase.

Definitely has carisma March 15, 2014

It doesn't take very long for even a novice to get used to this machine. Very easy to fill the water supply tank, equally as easy to pull it out to rinse once a week and even easier to remove the drip tray and wash the entire unit in the sink with tap water.

Uses standard HX method of pulling a cooling shot to get brew temperature corrected.

Adjusting the tank temperature is as easy as pushing some buttons on the front panel.

One point of procedure that has to be followed is that if you are making an Americano, keep it for the last operation since filling a cup of hot water will really knock the tank temperature back to the point of no steam for the milk.

There seem to be a lot of machines out there that are of similar design. This machine can surely hold it's own as far as a well thought out design and workmanship are concerned.

I am quite satisfied with this purchase and would buy again. The back up support from Chris's Coffee also deserves a note of thanks.
