Set it and Forget it! July 28, 2016

Using the John Guest fittings and tubing this pressure regulator was easy to install. It is also easy to set. Set it and forget it. Initially, I checked the pressure, from time and time. and it remained at 25psi, just as I set it. Definitely a must for your plumbed in espresso machine.

Regulates pressure but not sure if it is accurate May 10, 2016
Reviewer: Michael from Calgary
I've been using this for a few months now and while it definitely regulates the pressure, I don't think it is calibrated as I need to set it at about 2 PSI to get a low enough pressure such that my machine doesn't stream water from the brand new OPV when the machine is turned off.

And to be clear, I mean stream water, not just a light drip. Further, I tried adjusting the OPV itself to be able to brew when the regulator was set to 20 PSI but no luck. (for reference, my main water pressure is 43 PSI)

Also, when the regulator is set that low (2-5 PSI), sometimes the regulator doesn't allow any flow and the machine will not receive any water until I make a quick adjustment. This is rare but has happened a couple times.

Anyway, it works and was VERY easy to install but I don't think it is great value for the price. Maybe mine is defective but the international return shipping costs/time without an espresso machine make it not worthwhile. I will try to get it calibrated locally.

Great piece and does what it says July 31, 2014

Very handy piece to include with your filter setup as it allows you to set to pressure going to your machine to what ever its specs require. very handy having the JG fitting allready on the inlet and outlet. I do have one small complaint. The image on the site clearly shows the gauge with both PSI on the putside ring and BAR on the inside ring. WHen mine arrived I was didapointed that mine only showed PSI so I had to get on the PC and find a conversion from PSI to BAR before I could set the regulator. Again not a huge thing but I like to think that what I see on the site is what will arrive in the box.
