QM67 Evo Comparison February 25, 2017
Reviewer: Cari Calkins from Palos Verde CA
This is our third QuickMill machine from ChrisCoffee.com. We started with Anita in 2010, we gifted her to friends of ours when we upgraded to the Vetrano 2B in 2015. We purchased the QM67 this year, for our home away from home (apartment) in CA. While the QM67 Evo is not the Vetrano, it is clearly better than the Anita; perfect for an apartment kitchen! QM67 footprint is smaller than Vetrano, while still being a dual boiler machine. Shots are consistent, with more than adequate steam power. I am a huge fan of the E61 group head and the no burn steam wand. However, collars of the knobs get scalding hot compared to the Vetrano and Anita. This does not effect the performance at all, unless you blister yourself mid shot. All in all, an excellent machine! Be mindful around the steam knobs. One last thing, the new double spout portafilters are great! No need for a holder. The handle is offset so it balances itself perfectly! This needs to be sold as an upgrade accessory for older machines!

Easy to use and great results! January 12, 2017
Reviewer: Greg Burd from Washington, D.C. Area United States
I purchased this as a 1st machine a little over 2 mo ago. After perfecting the bean grind, the machine cranks out incredible espresso time after time.

The two thing I like most are the PID display and dual boiler. There is no need to temperature surf with the dual boiler and the PID ensures that temp isn't a factor affecting the taste from one cup to the next.

My only regret is not purchasing the inline machine. Nothing elicits a groan more than shutting off mid-pour. The convenience of never running out would have been worth the extra cost.

If you are buying for the first time, there are 5 add ons I recommend:
- quality tamper (the included one is garbage)
- industrial strength grouphead cleaner
- tamping stand for single shots
- surge protector to protect your investment
- timer to heat the group head while you are stumbling out of bed

So far, the machine looks great and is pumping out great espresso, I highly recommend it if you don't have a water line nearby.

QM67 dual boiler is a delight December 26, 2016
Reviewer: Randall Watkins from Albuquerque, NM United States
I have had my new QM67 for over a month now and it has been use every day.  It's an amazing step up from my Silvia, and I am having a blast with control of the variables for steaming and brewing. I was able to get the machine dialed in for perfect espresso the first day. In addition the people at Chris' Coffee helped me in choosing a dual boiler over a heat exchanger.
If I could make a suggestion -- There should be some warning about the use of hard water in the online product descriptions.  When I received the machine and read the users manual it was clear that hard water use is not advisable.  I have somewhat hard water here in New Mexico.  I could've returned the machine, but I decided to keep it and will use a descaler from time to time (against Chris' recommendation).  We'll see how it goes, but I wish I would have known before purchasing the machine that hard water damage is not covered under warranty.

Very nice machine. December 5, 2016
Reviewer: Ryan Tomaz from Slinger, WI United States
Chris's Coffee is top notch to deal with. As for this machine, it is very nice. I have it paired up with a Vario HD grinder. The two tips that come with the machine are too big for this machine to work with skim milk. Using the Isomac two hole tip proves to be a winning combination. If using whole milk, the provided tips would probably do the trick. The espresso produced is outstanding. Quality is great.

After 2 years, I still love it! November 4, 2016
Reviewer: Robert Jacob from Laguna Beach, CA United States
I bought this in December 2014 and have been using it every day since then. I bought it to replace a 7-year-old Rancilio Sylvia. I also bought a Baratza grinder to go with it to replace the Rancilio Rocky. Though the Rancilio products were great, the QM67 is a major upgrade and allows much better control of the brewing process. Subtle changes in the grind/brew temperature make noticeable, replicable differences, which is what I wanted. I've used mostly Blue Bottle coffees, but have also used Black Cat and a few other local coffees. It can take 6-8 cups to get everything right for my taste, but this is why I wanted to be able to control everything I could. A good value, very attractive and trouble-free operation, too.
