Alex does not have to be plumbed in, but if you want to plumb it in, it's as simply as connecting the water line and flipping a lever. Alex sports a lever-action E61 group with built-in pre-infusion; high-grade 304 stainless steel construction including the frame; dual manometers; large-capacity drip tray with optional drain; swivel steam and hot water arms; large, 2 liter horizontal copper boiler, and much more.
