(This is a big change and we are excited at Chris' Coffee Service about this change. We offered NO POD machines on our web site in the past and feel this is an excellent alternative. A beginner can start out by adding the POD kit to this machine to begin with and if they decide to graduate to ground coffee at a later date they simply remove the kit purchase a grinder and they are set without having to try and sell a POD only machine, One other GREAT thing about Silvia is its tremendous resale value. There is no other machine on the market, that I am aware of, that holds its value like Silvia. If you want to MOVE UP to a HX machine you can easily sell Silvia rather than put in the basement collecting dust only to be sold in garage sale for $10.00 like a lot of other starter machines on the market.
