The La Spaziale Vivaldi has been updated several times now. Including the very popular Vivaldi II, which we helped design with La Spaziale. In 2006 we were honored by Coffeegeek with the Editors' Choice Award for Best New Product. We didn't stop there though, we wanted to continue to strive to produce the best home espresso machine. With the S1 Dream, the latest iteration of the Vivaldi family, we made several improvements. One such improvement is the La Spaziale Dream's newly designed programmable touchpad. Similar to other popular electronic screens and display you'll have increased control and functionality of your home espresso machine.

The La Spaziale Dream now comes in 15 amp mode with a 20 amp plug and a converter cord is now included on all orders.

Great machine August 23, 2018
Reviewer: Arthur O'Connor from Reno, NV United States
Before I got a S!, if you told me it would make a major difference in how my morning espresso tastes, I would have said BS. But, now that i have been brewing with the S1 for several weeks, I can tell you it is true. I had a Secco that made as good a brew as you get at Starbucks. The S1 is far better. And it steams milk so fast you have to keep your hand on the knob or it boils over. Perfect micro-bubbles for latte art! I only have two complaints. First, there should be another 1/2" (1 cm) under the brew group to accommodate a standard espresso cup. Second, the bottom tray assembly needs to extend out about 1" (2.5 cm) more so the steaming pitcher is supported while getting hot steaming. I am glad I bought the plumbed 20 amp version and went to the expense to install the needed plumbing and dedicated outlet in the kitchen. I can steam and brew at the same time.

Truly is a dream July 27, 2018

This is the second machine we have purchased from  Chris' and dealing with them could not be easier/better.   Mackenzie had the machine all tested and ready to go when we got there. We have been blown away by the quality of shots and ease of use of this machine. Truly is a "dream".

Quit Deliberating - Buy It August 31, 2017
Reviewer: LarryD from GARLAND, TX
The S1 Dream is a beautiful machine both aesthetically and mechanically.  I bought mine 13 months ago and have absolutely no regrets.  I was upgraded from an Adreja Premium that died, so getting something serviceable was important.  I just recently had the group temp probe fail.  Chris' support got a new warranty part out to me quickly and gave me the help I needed so I could change out the part.  Everything is very easy to find and service.

If you want this machine, but are trying to figure out the plumbing then look up the Flojet which lets you connect the machine to 5 gallon water bottles.  This has worked flawlessly and I wouldn't want to plumb it any other way.

The rotary pump is powerful and quiet.  The built-in on/off timer is awesome.  The shot timer and shot quality feedback are indispensable.

This could be the last machine you ever buy for personal use... it has all kinds of positives and no negatives.

Machine extracts espresso fine, BUT... June 27, 2017
Reviewer: Joe Bui from Huntington Beach, CA United States
I had high hopes for the S1 Dream.  It was replacing my Isomac Tea that I had for 13 years.  I've had the machine for about 7 months.  Having a double boiler and thermostat is very nice comparing to have to temperature surf with an E61 group head.  The built in timer is also a good tool for timing your shots.  But, with all these improvements, the quality of the steam wand knob is poor.  Mine broke from minimal use.  When I took it apart, I found that there was a thin piece of metal glued or melted onto the steam wand knob.  This is the ONLY thing that engages the steam wand valve.  When I disassembled it, it looks like the plastic got brittle from the heat and caused the metal support to pop off from the knob.

Chris Coffee is replacing the pieces, but I was told that La Speziale was not changing the knob design.  Let's see how long the new knob will last.

If you only drink espresso, then this machine works great.  But if you drink cappuccinos are lattes maybe not...
